Megan Pasquotti
Grade 2/3
Hello! My name is Megan Pasquotti (formerly Esser)! I am so excited to be teaching grade 2/3 at Coalbanks again this year and I am forever grateful to be part of this school community. I was born and raised here in Lethbridge and aspired to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in General Social Studies with a major in Indigenous Education and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge. My teaching career began in Lethbridge, teaching Grade 4/5 at The Children of St. Martha Elementary School. Since then, I have taught Grade 1/2 at Fleetwood Bawden Elementary School and the last three years I have been here at Coalbanks Elementary School!
When I am not teaching, I love spending time in the mountains with my husband Nico and our golden retriever Rip, reading, baking, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family. In the classroom, my passion lies in fostering relationships with each student (when students feel safe in their space, they are more likely to take risks in their learning)! I truly believe that every child is entitled to an enriching education that will support a love of learning. I am also very passionate about early literacy! We integrate literature into almost everything that we do!
My teaching philosophy is rooted in meeting every child where they are at, finding multiple strategies, and working with their passions which will support their success where they are at in their learning journey. I am incredibly passionate about connecting with you and with our community to support our learners. I look forward to connecting with you soon!
