Aimee Gast
Grade 4/5
It is with great pleasure and excitement that I introduce myself to the Coalbanks School community. I have lived in Lethbridge for 10 years, but grew up in Kelowna, BC where I received my Bachelor of Education degree at the University of British Columbia. Soon after graduating I moved to Lethbridge, where I have been teaching with Lethbridge School District. I began my career teaching at Westminster School before moving to Mike Mountain Horse Elementary. I have spent the last three years teaching at Nicholas Sheran Community School where I am currently teaching grade 4. I have loved my time at each school community I have been a part of, and value the learning opportunities that come with growing into a new school family. I am looking forward to the unique opportunity to be a part of building a school community from its roots.
I deeply value strong relationships. It is important that my students feel as though they are safe and understood, and that parents and families feel welcome to be a part of their child’s learning. My door is always open, and I welcome the opportunity to get to know our families more in the coming months.
I am a proud mama of two daughters, and love spending my free time with my girls and my husband of 7 years. Together we love baking, reading books, riding bikes, and heading to the hill for a day of snowboarding.
I am so excited to be joining Coalbanks Elementary this coming year. It’s going to be a great start!
